GENERAL CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS / TDM
Updated Friday, April 27th, 2023
The Dark Man: Journal of Robert E. Howard and Pulp Studies is accepting submissions for future issues. Articles should be 4000-6000 words including notes and bibliography. Scholarly Notes should be 1000-2000 words. Reviews should be 1000-2000 words and should treat an apropos issue in Robert E. Howard and pulp studies rather than merely the merit of the book(s) reviewed.
Submissions should be formatted according to 9th-edition MLA bibliographic and citational standards. Footnotes and endnotes should be eschewed, if possible, in order to avoid arresting and interrupting the flow of the article or review. Prose style can range from academic to informal; despite style, the scholarly enterprise should be rigorous. Submissions and questions should be e-mailed to Dr. Jason Ray Carney at tdmjournalreh@gmail.com as .doc or .docx attachments.
TDM is peer reviewed and indexed by the MLA International Bibliography.
